Exciting, fun, and RED are just a few words that could describe the amazing Taylor Swift concert. On Wednesday, April 10, 2013 (a school night for us students) Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran came to Miami for the RED tour at the American Airlines Arena. Starting with “State of Grace,” Swift started her concert which has been described as more of a broadway spectacle that your typical concert. Swift justified her concert theatrics in a recent issue of Billboard Magazine. “Of course, you know the tour will be a big representation of this record,” Swift explained. “I’m so excited to see what songs the fans like the most and which ones jump to the forefront, because that’s the first step. We always see which songs are really the passionate songs and the ones the fans are freaking out over the most, and those are the ones that are definitely in the setlist. I can’t wait for that.”

For the encore Taylor sang her hit single “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.” This hit song riled the crowd up as they sang along. “I was never a big fan of Taylor Swift until I went to the concert and now I love her and her music,” said Gulliver student Kelsey Valencia. British singer Ed Sheeran was the opening act for the tour and also sings along with Taylor Swift on the song “Everything Has Changed.”  Attending the amazing Taylor Swift concert was a once in a lifetime opportunity for many students. “It was the most amazing concert- like ever,” said Gulliver student Lauren Lugones, “If you missed out, you missed the best night of your life!”
