Although the rehearsal process for upcoming musical, Beauty and the Beast, has been intense and tiring, the middle school actors and actresses have been working vigorously to create a theatrical masterpiece. From costume fittings to line memorization, the process has been a challenge to attain perfection. The vibrant costumes and dramatic makeup have dramatized each character and added life to their performances.
The silly girls have been costumed in colorful peasant dresses and the enchanted characters are adorned with flashy, sparkling inanimate object costumes. Each song and scene requires an abundance of dedication even from the smallest characters. You know what they say: “There are no small roles, only small actors.”
Not only has the cast worked as hard as they can, but crew has been a lifeline and integral part of creating the scenery and running this elaborate show. Without the crew, confusion would be in the air and props would be displaced. It literally takes a village to perform this musical and the outcome has been outstanding.
